International Visibility
Compares organic visibility, CTR and conversions across countries. GSC provides positions and clicks from each country; GA4 adds organic sessions and key event rate. Find high-potential markets and countries where traffic doesn't convert.

Six country types in organic search
🚀 High Potential — country ranks in the top 15 with a high opportunity score: many impressions but CTR below benchmark. You're already in the SERP but leaving clicks on the table. Causes: snippet not localized, title doesn't match market search expectations, competitors take more SERP space (rich results, PAA).
✅ Converting — country generates organic sessions with a high key event rate in GA4. This is your best market: users find what they're looking for and complete target actions. Focus: scale content and link building for this market.
💸 Traffic Sink — lots of organic sessions from GA4 but key event rate is zero or near-zero. Traffic without conversions. Possible causes: CTA/form not localized for the market, language barrier, content misaligned with audience expectations.
💪 CTR Strong — actual CTR exceeds the expected benchmark for the current position by 10%+. Your snippet outperforms competitors at the same positions: effective title, structured data, strong domain reputation in this market.
👻 Invisible — 1,000+ impressions but fewer than 10 clicks. The country "sees" you but doesn't click. Causes: very low position (10+), unappealing snippet, or SERP filled with ads and rich results before organic.
⚪ Normal — standard performance with no significant anomalies. Monitor over time to detect trends.
How to use Opportunity Score to prioritise markets
Opportunity Score = impressions × max(0, expected_ctr − actual_ctr). This measures lost clicks: how many clicks you'd gain if your CTR reached the benchmark for your current position.
Why this matters for international SEO: high impressions with low CTR means Google already considers your page relevant for that market — but users aren't clicking. That's easier to fix than building rankings from scratch.
Practical plan: (1) find countries with High Potential and high Opp Score; (2) check the top queries for that country — does your title and description match these queries?; (3) check how your snippet looks in Google Search for these queries from the target country (use VPN or Google's Search features → Country).
