How to Analyse Your Text

  1. Paste your article, landing page copy, or any text into the input field.
  2. Click Analyse — the tool processes the text in seconds.
  3. Review the keyword density table: the top keywords are ranked by frequency, showing both raw count and percentage of all meaningful words.
  4. Check the Water Content indicator — a high ratio of stop words vs content words signals thin or padded text.
  5. Read the readability stats: word count, sentence count, average words per sentence, and Flesch Reading Ease equivalent.
  6. Iterate: rewrite problem sections and re-run the analysis to confirm improvement.

Understanding Water Content and Keyword Density

Water Content (водность) is the ratio of stop words — articles, prepositions, conjunctions, filler phrases — to the total word count. Stop words carry no semantic value for search engines. A water content above 60% typically indicates the text is padded or insufficiently informative. The target range for most SEO-optimised texts is 40–55%.

Keyword Density is the frequency of a specific word relative to all meaningful (non-stop) words. Over-optimised texts with densities above 5–7% for a single keyword risk triggering spam filters. The natural density for a primary keyword in a well-written text is 1.5–3%.

Lemmatisation: the tool groups inflected word forms under a single lemma (root form), so "runs", "running", and "ran" all count toward the same keyword. This mirrors how search engines process text and gives a more accurate density picture than simple word counting.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the ideal text length for SEO?
There is no universal ideal, but data consistently shows that comprehensive content (1500–3000 words for competitive informational queries) tends to rank higher — not because of length itself, but because longer texts naturally cover more semantically related terms. For transactional pages (product, landing) 400–800 words is often sufficient. Use the Text Analyzer to ensure every word adds value rather than padding.
Why are lemmas used instead of raw word forms?
Search engines index and rank documents based on the root meaning of words, not their exact surface form. Google treats "optimise", "optimising", and "optimisation" as the same semantic signal. By lemmatising before counting, the Text Analyzer gives you density figures that correlate with how search engines actually score your content — making the keyword data actionable rather than misleading.
Can I analyse English and Russian texts?
Yes. The Text Analyzer automatically detects the language of the pasted text. Russian lemmatisation is handled by pymorphy3 (a morphological analyser for Russian), and English uses a Snowball stemmer with lemma lookup.

Анализатор текста

A text analyzer is an online tool that helps evaluate the structure and quality of your text. It allows you to analyze word frequency, keyword density, and the overall balance of your content. By identifying the most frequently used words and phrases, the analyzer helps detect keyword overuse and improve readability. This tool is especially useful for SEO specialists, copywriters, and content creators who want to optimize their texts for search engines and readers. A text analyzer provides insights into how often specific words appear, what percentage of the text they occupy, and how evenly the keywords are distributed throughout the content. Using a text analyzer can help you create more natural and effective content. It allows you to refine keyword usage, reduce repetition, and ensure that your text remains clear, structured, and optimized for better search engine visibility.
