Common Reasons for Manual Actions
- Unnatural links โ purchased, swapped, or spammy links
- Thin content โ pages with no real value, doorway pages
- Cloaking โ showing different content to users vs. Googlebot
- Hidden text โ keywords in white font on white background
- Hacked site โ spam or malicious code injected by attackers
Manual Penalty Removal Process
- Read the violation description in GSC
- Fix all violations (remove links / content)
- If links โ upload a Disavow file
- Submit a Reconsideration Request
- Wait for a response (usually 2โ4 weeks)
