Helpful Content System

๐Ÿ“
The content factory
"The agency was producing 50 articles a week. All targeting SEO traffic: 'best tips', 'complete guide', 'top 10 ways'. No real experience โ€” just keywords. The Google Helpful Content Update removed them from the top overnight."
๐Ÿ“Œ Helpful Content System โ€” a Google algorithm that demotes sites creating content primarily for search engines rather than people.

How the System Evaluates Content

Google asks questions about each page:

  • Does the content demonstrate real experience or expertise?
  • Would a user feel satisfied โ€” "I got what I was looking for"?
  • Is there a significant amount of content that seems made for traffic?

Signs of "Unhelpful" Content

  • Summarizing others' material without added value
  • Writing on every topic without real specialization
  • Answering questions the user didn't ask
  • Promising an answer that is never delivered (clickbait)
  • AI-generated content without editorial review
"Written for people" test:

โ˜ Is the content based on personal experience?
โ˜ Is there info you can't find elsewhere?
โ˜ Will the user get the answer they need?
โ˜ Would anyone share this content?
๐ŸŽฏ The golden rule: create content as if Google doesn't exist. If content is useful to people โ€” Google will love it too.
๐ŸŽฎ Test yourself: what does the Helpful Content system primarily evaluate?
