The <title> tag โ your signboard in search
Open Google and look at any search result. That blue clickable headline is the <title> tag. It's the most important meta tag.
It affects two metrics at once:
- ๐ Rankings โ Google reads the title to understand what the page is about
- ๐ CTR (click-through rate) โ users decide whether to click based on reading the title
Rules for a great title:
- ๐ Length: 50โ60 characters (otherwise Google cuts it with "โฆ")
- ๐ฏ Main keyword โ near the beginning
- โจ Every page needs a unique title

โ ๏ธ Important: description does NOT directly affect rankings. But it strongly affects CTR โ whether someone clicks your result instead of a competitor's.
Rules for a great description:
- ๐ Length: 150โ160 characters
- ๐ช Include a call to action โ "Learn", "Try", "Download"
- ๐ Describe real value โ what the user gets by clicking
Title + description synergy
Together they form your snippet. Great snippet = more clicks = more traffic = better rankings. The first growth loop in SEO! ๐
