Sharing a property without sharing your Google account
Team Management lets you give a colleague or client access to chosen properties inside the workspace. The teammate signs in to SEOKit with their own account and sees only the properties you shared. They do not get your Google password or your other properties.
Inviting someone
- Enter the email of the person. You cannot invite your own address, and an already accepted member cannot be invited again.
- Choose the properties and, for each, an access level: read or full. You can also switch GA4 data and merchant data on or off per property.
- Send the invitation. It expires after 7 days; its token is stored only as a hash.
- Follow its state: pending, delivery failed or accepted. You can revoke an invitation, or send it again with a new token.
Seats
The team page shows seats used against the limit of your plan (labelled Starter). Pending invitations count together with active members, so on the current setting, with a limit of one, a single invited person fills the plan until you revoke the invitation or remove the member.
What a teammate can see
- The shared properties appear in the teammate’s own property list, marked as shared.
- Data is read through your Search Console connection, so the teammate sees what your connection can see for those properties.
- GA4 reports are available only for properties where the GA4 switch is on.
- Nothing else of yours is visible: other properties, billing and keys stay private.
If something looks wrong
| Message | Cause and fix |
|---|---|
| seat_limit_reached | the plan’s seat is used; revoke a pending invitation or remove the member |
| already_member | that person already accepted an invitation |
| cannot_invite_self | use a different email address |
| property_access_denied | you chose a property that is not in your Search Console account |
| Invitation expired | send it again; each invitation is valid for 7 days |
